The Festa do Peão de Barretos reaches another promising edition. The 61st edition of the party will take place between the 18th and 28th of August, at Parque do Peão de Barretos.

Considered one of the biggest pedestrian festivals in Latin America, this year’s lineup of attractions was announced, of which there are many.

On the first day, shows with Jads & Jadson , Simone & Simaria and Filhos da Terra .

On Friday (19), there will be Cabaré , Wesley Safadão , Zé Felipe , Israel Novaes , Zé Ricardo & Thiago and Conrado & Aleksandro .

On Saturday (20), there will be a kind of “Festeja” event, which is a party, where artists from the Work Show office perform on the same day, such as Henrique & Juliano , Zé Neto & Cristiano , Maiara & Maraísa , Marília Mendonça , in addition to the duos Carreiro & Caparaz and Israel & Rodolffo .

Typical cuisine of the cattle ranchers’ entourages who traveled “around the world” taking their cattle. It is said that the trips lasted from three to six months, hence the concern about carrying non-perishable food on the back of animals.

Queima do Alho has on its menu: carreteiro rice, fatty beans, meat paçoca and barbecue. The food is prepared on an improvised stove, very close to the floor.

General information

The history of the creation of the Festa do Peão de Boiadeiro de Barretos begins with the birth of the Club on the afternoon of July 15, 1955, in a bar. Several young men from Barretos society then decided to found a group, soon named “Os Independentes”, as its members had to be single and financially self-sufficient.

The Festa do Peão de Boiadeiro de Barretos was not born from a simple whim of this group of boys, but rather as a fair tribute to the important character in the economic and cultural history of this region, who is the Peão de Boiadeiro. The Festival has its main and most authentic attraction in the Rodeo.
